It was another great day of accomplishment.
Freshko Food Service Corporation is providing freezer space for three semi loads of food! That is a major answer to prayer and our team readied the space to receive food we have coming in on Friday. We also prepared our 20’ refrigeration space to hold the items that need to be cold but not frozen.
Trinity Baptist Church who is working with Red Cross and Texas Men’s Baptist Disaster Relief brought us hundreds of meals today and we served a steady stream of people coming to pick up commodities and have a meal. We were able to share much food with City of Refuge, an organization that ministers to veterans and that also got hurt by the storm.
We received donations today from Glad Tidings Church, CIA and Convoy of Hope and we got all the goods that have been pouring in organized and under shelter.
A team of men from Texas who work together brought a load of great supplies and are returning tomorrow to help us work.
Repairs to the office roof are coming along fantastically. The team placed the gangway back to the Riverboat so we are able to access it again and trimmed more trees that were obstructing our roadways.
We have such extraordinary, wonderful people who have come to work with us, bring supplies or give funds, it is an honor to have their help. We were able to pray with and encourage all who visited today. That, for sure, is the most important thing we do.
