Port Mercy and our local community in Lake Charles, Louisiana continue to recover from Hurricanes Laura and Delta. We also hope to soon host church teams coming in to help local homeowners rebuild.
In addition, we have completed the initial phase of reconstruction on the first deck of the RiverBoat at Port Mercy. This is a lovely paddlewheel, formerly in service for casino gambling. We are remodeling the vessel to host conferences, seminars, luncheons, breakfasts, prayer meetings, musical events, a children’s puppet theatre, and more. Luncheons are now taking place as we continue with installing a commercial kitchen, conference room, and remodeling of three more decks.
